Albany, NY, May 21, 2024 – The College of Saint Rose Board of Trustees announced its selection
of JLL to serve as its real estate advisor and broker for the College’s 81 properties. JLL is one of 7 firms that submitted a bid for the high-profile real estate project in the heart of the City of Albany’s Pine Hills Neighborhood.

“After an extensive review and selection process, we are pleased to have hired JLL to assist in developing a creative strategy for the disposition of campus properties that is in line with our long-standing reputation for being a good neighbor,” said Saint Rose Board Chair Jeffrey Stone.

“As Trustees contemplate the future of the campus and disposition of properties, we are
confident that JLL’s experienced team will bolster our efforts to maximize the value of the
College’s assets and retire its debt,” Stone said.

As part of the real estate strategy, JLL will assess the value of the campus and will work with the College and the bondholders.

“JLL is well positioned to guide the college to a successful outcome,” said David Carlos, Vice
Chairman and Higher Education Practice Lead at JLL
. “Our expert team has led and executed
numerous complex projects on behalf of colleges and universities and has delivered exceptional
results.”

“We understand the various sensitivities surrounding the future use of the Saint Rose campus
and the disposition of the college’s properties and we look forward to engaging with
bondholders, local officials and Pine Hills community members during this process,” Carlos said, noting that there will be future meetings with various stakeholders.

Since 2019, JLL has exceeded 7,000 leasing and sales transactions totaling 169 million square
feet in New York State and has completed 58 leasing and capital markets transactions totaling
1.3 million square feet in Albany alone.

JLL’s recently completed education and non-profit projects include City University of New York, the Jewish Theological Seminary (New York City), Union Theological Seminary (New York City), Brooklyn Law School, and New York Law School (New York City campus).

The College of Saint Rose will cease academic instruction in June 2024. Stone said the Trustees’ goal is to complete the real estate project by December 30, 2024, but it could take longer.
