The Counseling Center is staffed by three full-time mental health professionals including the Clinical Director, who is a licensed doctoral-level psychologist. Qualified graduate-level interns in the counseling field may provide services on a part-time basis. Based on short-term models, the staff prides itself on providing a range of diverse counseling styles and approaches.

Mission Statement

The Counseling and Psychological Services Center seeks to promote student/employee personal wellness and help remove obstacles to education through individual, group, couples, and family counseling; to educate the campus community about wellness issues; and to train professional counselors and psychologists for employment in the greater community.

Confidentiality

The issues you discuss at the Counseling Center stay between you and your counselor. All counseling, consultations, psychological services, and referrals offered by the Counseling Center are kept strictly confidential in accordance with professional, ethical and legal guidelines. Information is not released without your written consent, except in the case of medical emergency or a life-threatening situation.

ULifeline is an anonymous, confidential, online resource center, where college students can be comfortable searching for the information they need and want regarding mental health and suicide prevention. ULifeline is available where college students seek information the most - at their fingertips on the Internet.

ULifeline is a program of The Jed Foundation, the nation’s leading organization working to prevent suicide and improve the mental health of college students, and is overseen by an expert board of mental health professionals.
