Continuing Education Admission Policies

Admission through the Experienced Adult Program

Since 1971, The College of Saint Rose has recognized college-level learning that adults have gained outside of the traditional classroom. Students in this program have the opportunity to develop a portfolio that demonstrates non-traditional learning and they, thereby, earn credit applicable toward a baccalaureate degree from The College of Saint Rose.

Students may earn credit through the EAP portfolio process for verifiable college-level learning from work experience, volunteer work, non-credit seminars, military service, independent reading, other learning activities or a combination of the above.

Admission of Non-Matriculated Students

The College recognizes that some applicants may wish to take courses for the purpose of personal enrichment or to secure credits pending change to matriculated status or for transfer to another college. Those students who wish to earn credits at The College of Saint Rose may be admitted on a non-matriculated basis. Non-matriculated students are limited to study on a part-time basis.
