Environmental Policy
The College of Saint Rose community
will:
- take a leadership role in conducting activities as responsible
stewards of the environment;
- use educational activities to promote environmental awareness,
local action and global thinking;
- not only comply with federal, state, and local environmental
laws and regulations but engage in environmental best management
practices in all our departments, laboratories, facilities and
operations;
- prevent pollution through the use of processes, practices, materials
or products that avoid or minimize pollution, recognizing that
this may include process changes, efficient use of resources,
material substitution and recycling;
- continuously improve through environmental management program
systems that establish and review our environmental objects and
targets;
- reach out to the community regarding our environmental performance.
