ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose garnered its sixth NCAA Tournament bid within the past seven years in early November. On Thursday, the Golden Knights will be making their first “Final Four” appearance throughout their 18-year NCAA Division II era against the University of West Florida with a chance to play in the national championship match on the line. Thursday’s contest will be played at Pepin Stadium on the campus of the University of Tampa at 7:00 pm.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY – The College of Saint Rose women’s basketball team suffered its first loss of the 2008-09 campaign as Northeast-10 Conference rival Pace University upended the Golden Knights 82-72 this afternoon at the Goldstein Fitness Center.

WEST CHESTER, PA – Sophomore midfielder Amanda Deck broke a 2-2 tie with just over 10 minutes remaining to propel The College of Saint Rose women’s soccer team to a 3-2 victory in a national quarterfinal contest in the 2008 NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Championship this afternoon at Farrell Field on the campus of West Chester University. The win allowed the Golden Knights to punch their ticket to the “Final Four” in Tampa, Florida where they will meet second-ranked West Florida (22-0-1) on Thursday, December 4.

ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose had five student-athletes receive weekly honors from the Northeast-10 Conference this afternoon. Junior keeper Shannon Murphy, sophomore midfielder Amanda Deck and freshman forward Nicola D'Errico represented the women’s soccer team. Meanwhile, freshmen Ryan Brauer and Caitlin Peterson of the men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams were recognized.

Nolan Gymnasium. In the process, the Golden Knights won their 11th straight against the Owls, who were winless in their four-game road trip to start the 2008-09 campaign.

ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose women’s basketball team held visiting Southern Connecticut State without a field goal throughout the final six minutes en route to a 92-73 victory this afternoon at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium. The Golden Knights (4-0/2-0 NE-10) owned a 76-69 advantage with 3:53 remaining, but outscored the Owls 16-4 the rest of the way to keep their unblemished record intact.

ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose dropped both ends of a dual meet at Le Moyne College this afternoon although the Golden Knights managed to register five school records throughout the day. Saint Rose fell 165-129 in the women’s competition, and was defeated 145-116 on the men’s side of the ledger.
