TRANSFER CREDIT POLICY
Saint Rose attempts to provide maximum credit for work completed at other colleges. A maximum of 62 credit hours from other institutions may be applied to the Saint Rose degree. However, of the 122 credit hours required for graduation, 60 must be completed at Saint Rose.

For liberal education requirements, credit is given for applicable courses in which a student earns a C- or above. Transferred courses will be applied toward degree requirements, but grades are not included in the applicant's cumulative grade point average. Credit is generally not given for professional and technical courses which would not be applicable to the bachelor’s degrees offered at the College.

When a student’s application is accepted, transcripts are evaluated and a Transfer Equivalency is mailed.

To see how your courses may transfer into The College of Saint Rose visit our Transfer Equivalency Database.  This is updated as new courses are added.

If you have questions about courses that do not appear in our database, send an email to registrar@strose.edu for an unofficial evaluation. Include the following:

  • Name & location of institution
  • Course subject, number, title & number of credits
  • Semester in which the course was taken

ARTICULATION AGREEMENTS
Saint Rose maintains articulation agreements with several two-year colleges. An articulation agreement plans a student's coursework at specific two-year colleges so that the student can easily transfer into a pre-selected major without loss of credits.
