Transfer of Credits
In evaluating the credentials of transfer candidates, the College
tries to give maximum credit for college work completed at other
institutions. In liberal education courses, credit is given for
all courses in which a student achieves a grade of C- or above.
Credit is generally not given for pro-
fessional and technical courses which would not be applica-
ble to the bachelor's degree offered at the College.
Of the 122 credit hours required for a degree, transfer
students must complete a minimum of 60 credit hours at
The College of Saint Rose in addition to all other graduation requirements.
A maximum of 62 credit hours from other institutions can be applied
to the Saint Rose degree.
Courses accepted for transfer will be given full credit toward
degree requirements, but grades are not included
in the applicant's cumulative quality point average.
Articulation Agreements
The purpose of an articulation agreement is to plan and sequence a
student's coursework at a specific two-year college so that the student
can easily transfer into a pre-selected major without loss of credits.
The College of Saint Rose maintains articulation agreements in various
majors with the following junior and community colleges:
- Adirondack Community College
- College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill
- Columbia-Greene Community College
- Genessee Community College
- Herkimer Community College
- Hudson Valley Community College
- Maria College
- Sage Junior College of Albany
- Schenectady Community College
Counselors at Saint Rose and at these participating colleges are
able to provide students with specific transfer informa-
tion in programs covered by an articulation agreement. To
learn more, please tell us about yourself and the programs you
are interested in.
We also encourage you to visit
our campus and meet with faculty and other transfer students.
