Dramatic Production
Workshop - Shakespearean Drama:
Week 1 & 2:
June 30–July 11, 9 am–4 pm
This two-week program will involve students in a wide range
of theatrical experiences while immersing themselves in the world
of Shakespeare. Students will discover how to relate to Shakespearean
characters by finding ways they are like themselves. The language
will become a portal into the character’s life. In addition
to scene study, the class will incorporate improvisations, theatre
games and movement activities. The program will conclude with a
performance for friends and family. (Please note that this class
will not meet on Friday, July 4th.)
Improvisational Workshop
Week 3:
July 14–18, 9 am–4 pm
This one-week class will allow students to focus on a variety of
acting and performance skills including speech, movement, action,
re-action, and monologue preparation. Through theatrical activities
and impromptu acting, participants will find this experience engaging
and rewarding. The program will conclude with a performance for
friends and family.

Musical Theater Workshop
Week 5 & 6:
July 28–August 8, 9 am–4 pm
The musical theater workshop will focus on key elements of musical
theater including, audition, vocal preparation, scene & character
study, blocking, movement, as well as improvisational acting and
vocal coaching. Students will rehearse and present scenes from current
and popular musicals in a program for friends and family.
