Study Abroad

A World-Class Education

To The World, YOU Make a Difference

Studying abroad is an option becoming increasingly popular at Saint Rose. More students are being drawn to the idea of studying in and exploring another country for a semester, two semesters, a summer session or for a shorter term for programs led by a Saint Rose faculty member.

The six study abroad opportunities affiliated with The College of Saint Rose are offered at the same price as Saint Rose tuition (plus airfare, personal expenses, room and board) including your Saint Rose financial aid package. All pre-approved credits will count toward your degree.

Student Testimonials:

Aix-en-Provence, France
The class is made up of 14 students from IAU, and the level is varied. Some are art majors, others are art history and haven't ever painted before. It's very different. The first 2 weeks we started off with drawing from the figure. I forgot how much I missed that. I thought my drawings had become much better, just from those two weeks, not really because of anything they did, but just to get to work on it again. So, we did a lot of model drawings, I basically had an entire sketchbook filled with drawings, from just 2 weeks. We did some w/ the opposite hand, and some memory stuff. (We'd draw a pose and then would have the same amount of time to do that pose from memory) It was good and everyone had a very different style of drawing. Everyone was given a wonderful wooden easel, which I get to take home w/ me! They don't make these in the states!

London, England
Although the paper writing is more than I could have ever imagined, I love classes. I am learning so many new things. My teachers are great, many teach at Oxford and Cambridge. I think my favorite part of school is walking through the halls and eating lunch with so many different cultures and languages floating through the air. I hardly walk through the halls and hear English.

I have been going to the theater a lot. I have seen shows in most of the West End theaters, and many of the beautiful concert halls. So far I have seen Guys and Dolls, Sweeney Todd, Women in White, Phantom of the Opera, The London Philharmonic twice, and Verdi's opera Rigoletto. In the near feature I have tickets to see Mary Poppins, Billy Elliot, and the Billy Joel's musical Movin Out. The London music and theater scene offers so much more, I hope to continue to see as many shows as possible
