Computer Science Department
The computer science department offers
undergraduate degree programs in computer science (CS) and computer information
systems (CIS). The CIS program stresses practical, applied knowledge in
the field of computer technology, while the CS focuses on the theoretical
study of computer science. Both programs are constantly evolving with
changes in the field of computer technology, allowing the College to offer
courses in emerging, popular areas such as Internet programming; programming
in C++, C# and .Net; and Bioinformatics. Since the ability to design projects
and work in groups are necessities in this field, all seniors participate
in the design and implementation of a large applied project. Most students
also gain practical workplace experience through our internship programs.
