Card Replacement Policy

The initial card is issued free of charge. The cardholder is responsible for immediately reporting a lost or stolen card. All reports are to be made to the Golden Knights Card Office either in person or by phone (518-485-3945).  

The College of Saint Rose is not responsible for the use of a lost or stolen card.  Once the card has been reported as missing it will be deactivated.  Cards cannot be reactivated if found at a later date. 

The replacement fee for a lost or stolen card is $25.00, which is added to the cardholder’s student account. If a card is deemed to have an internal malfunction it will be replaced at no charge.  To obtain a replacement I.D. card, a cardholder must appear in person at the Golden Knights Card Office.

If the card is reported lost or stolen within 48 hours and the card has accrued unauthorized charges, the cardholder may only be responsible for $50.00.  If the cardholder did not report the card missing within 48 hours, then the cardholder may be responsible for up to $500.00 in unauthorized charges.  If, however, the cardholder fails to notify The College of unauthorized purchases or that the card has been lost or stolen within sixty (60) days, the cardholder may be responsible for all of the unauthorized purchases and/or overdrafts, regardless of the amount.

Nights and Weekends:  If a card is lost or stolen during non-business hours, please contact Security dispatch at 454-5187.  The Security office will deactivate building access immediately. If applicable, the cardholder is responsible for suspending their declining balance account(s) by going online and placing it on hold.    

Placing Your Golden Knights Kash Account On Hold
The cardholder may access declining balance account(s) through http://www.strose.edu/GoldenKnightsKash.  After logging in, the cardholder may click the “Services” tab at the top right of the screen. Select the link for placing a card on hold to acknowledge that the cardholder wishes to place their card on hold.

Once a card has been placed on hold, the cardholder must appear in person to the Golden Knights Card Office to re-activate their card.  Cards can not be re-activated by phone or online due to identification verification purposes.
